Australia has gone cooking crazy. The massive success of shows like Master Chef and My Kitchen Rules prove it. And we’ll admit it – we’re fans too. Which is why we’re so stoked that Leederville’s Kitsch Bar are hosting cooking classes throughout 2012.
Kitsch-n Home Economics Cooking Classes is a series of ten classes held in Kitsch Bar’s open kitchen. While each chef demonstrates how to make their seasonal specialty, participants can watch on, taking notes and salivating. After the demonstration, everyone gets to feed on the freshly prepared masterpiece.
Have a sweet tooth? There’ll be a Chocolate and Champagne course run by chefs Iain Lawless and Liam Atkinson.
Like it hot? Clint Nolan, owner of Harvest and Who’s your Mumma?, will be demonstrating recipes from his brand new Mexican restaurant La Cholita. If you’re lucky, he’ll give pointers on how to whip up a wicked margarita, too!
Love beer? Then sign up for one of the two Beer Banquet classes taught by Anthony Williams from BEERtasters. He’ll be demonstrating his favourite dishes incorporating beer and also sharing what he reckons are the summer’s best beers.
We can’t promise you that an evening at Kitsch-n Home Economics will make you a culinary wizard, but we can promise you you’ll leave the class full and contented. Best of all? No ads. Take that, Manu!
