Last Saturday, in desperate need of a break from house-hunting in 38 degree heat, we stumbled across 9 Seeds, a cute café/juice bar/restaurant. It’s located on Marmion St in East Fremantle, just between Coode St and Wilkinson St. A tiny island in a suburban sea, 9 Seeds appears to enjoy a steady stream of business – ice cream-hungry kids in their bathers, friends chatting over coffee, or passers-by like us looking for a quick bite.

The bite was not only quick, but surprisingly delicious. My chicken, Gouda and avocado sandwich was to die for, especially when washed down with a yummy juice concoction of passion fruit, pear and pineapple. The coffee was just so-so, unfortunately. But all was forgiven upon realisation that the bookshelves lining the walls of 9 Seeds were filled with used books for sale. This might be my new favourite café!

That sounds so great! I wish we had places like that here, but no, exclusively coffee.
Yeah, Aussies really know how to do juice here!
I’d just like to leave the note that this shop’s opening hours are unreasonable, although the quality is fine.
